For a five-kilometer stretch, the river drops 82 meters; the most powerful rapids occur on the last two kilometers, with a difference in altitude of 60 meters. On the average, 250 cubic meters of water pass the rapids every second; at midsummer, this figure rises to 870 cubic meters.
